Manohar International Airport unfurls new vista: Direct Flights to Muscat International Airport Soon

Manohar International Airport (MIA), is thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in its journey with the commencement of direct flights to Muscat, Oman’s port capital surrounded by mountains and desert

Scheduled to commence on Sunday, October 29, 2023, the inaugural Oman Air flight to Muscat International Airport from Manohar International Airport promises an exciting new connection for travellers. The first flight from Muscat International Airport will touch down at Manohar Internal Airport (MIA) at 07:10 AM and take off from the airport at 10:10 AM for Muscat International Airport on the same day.

This exceptional service is poised to operate four times a week, on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday throughout October and November 2023. In December 2023, Oman Air plans to enhance this connectivity by increasing the number of flights to six per week, offering travellers more flexibility and convenience.

Nestled beneath rugged mountain ranges, the Omani capital of Muscat stands as a timeless gem in the heart of the Middle East. With its roots dating back centuries, it boasts a mesmerizing blend of tradition and modernity. The city’s enchanting landscape is adorned with Portuguese-built forts, elegant blue-domed mosques, regal palaces, and bustling souks, each resonating with the echoes of a bygone era. Muscat exudes an undeniable aura of a lost Arabia, capturing the essence of a rich history and a captivating present.

RV Sheshan, CEO of GGIAL, shares his enthusiasm on this momentous occasion, stating, “Our excitement knows no bounds as we add another feather to our cap by introducing Oman as a destination in our ever-expanding international network. This new connection exemplifies Manohar International Airport’s dedication to enhance connectivity and frequency on international routes as we expand our reach with new destinations.

The direct service to Muscat opens up a unique opportunity for outbound tourists to explore Oman’s diverse and enchanting landscapes. Moreover, it will cater to the significant Indian diaspora in Oman and Omanis who wish to visit Goa and various cities across the Indian subcontinent. This non-stop flight between Goa and Muscat serves as a bridge connecting two vibrant cultures, and we eagerly look forward to welcoming guests and sharing MIA’s warm Goan hospitality with them. With impeccable infrastructure, including essential e-Visa facilities, our airport is fully equipped to facilitate international travel. These connections not only enrich tourism in Goa but also stimulate socio-economic growth within the region.”
